Reheat Rankine Cycle: TS Diagram
A
Reheat Rankine Cycle
is aSuperheat Rankine Cycle
that uses two turbines to make it possible to operate the condenser at a low pressure and still maintain a very high quality at the turbine effluent.Because of the reheat step between the two turbines, the quality of the low-pressure turbine effluent can be kept very high.
This facilitates the use of very high boiler pressures and low condenser pressures.
