In this lesson, we will take a closer look at cycles in which the working fluid always remains in the gas phase.
Just as in vapor power cycles, the Carnot Cycle is the basis or starting point for more practical cycles.
The big problem with the Carnot Gas Power Cycle is that it is not practical to heat a gas at constant temperature.
It is MUCH easier to build an ordinary heat exchanger and heat the gas at constant pressure instead.
That is the basis for the Brayton Power Cycle.
