Pressure
- Force per unit area exerted by a fluid
(gas or liquid) on a solid surface.
- Pressure force acts in all directions and is due to the sum of all the random collisions of fluid molecules with the solid surface.
- The pressure force always acts on a surface in a direction perpendicular or normal to the surface.
